Small apartment in the heart of Middle Lunatia. Basic starter rooms with very few embellishments. Neat-ish but only because Renji doesn't have a lot of stuff.
The only thing that makes this place even remotely party-ready is the cabinet full of alcohol and a hastily slapped together bowl of chips. Fortunately, his apartment is close to plenty of places that deliver and the fridge has some leftovers for the more, uh, resourceful guests.
Folks are free to mingle, move what little furniture there is, poke around the closet (and marvel at the absolutely horrific number of tiger prints and floral yukata), or generally make themselves at home. Renji's probably too distracted to notice if you decide to kick around his well-worn and well-loved soccer ball or take a couple swings with the definitely real, definitely not a toy sword he has laying around the way most people leave their brooms.
If the food and drink and being chased around by the birthday boy eventually tires people out, they can lie their head down somewhere comfortable and spend the night. They'll be safe in the knowledge that in spite of his appearance, Renji's too soft to kick them out onto the street.
At least not until the next morning, after he's had his cup of coffee.
